Accommodation
King
Parrot offers its guests a variety in their choice of accommodation.
From luxurious fully self contained cottage accommodation to our
picturesque camping area for those who would like to get that little
bit closer to nature.
There are six cottages available and each varies in size and layout to accommodate guest parties from 2 to 14 people. Each
cabin has a large living area complete with dining table and luxurious
soft-furnishings (our sofas are ideal for snoozing). To keep you warm
in winter each cabin is heated by a slow-burning wood fire. All cabins
have a TV, VCR and CD player.
The bedrooms contain the
highest quality bedding with pillows, feather doonas and bed linen. In
the bathroom, an abundance of hot water ensures the decadence of long,
steamy showers. Guests are requested to bring their own towels.
We
offer an unsurpassed natural setting amongst native gums. A year-round
creek containing trout and blackfish runs alongside the entire camping
area.
Camping facilities occupy the floor of the valley in a natural clearing on the fringes of the rain forest.
Facilities
- Each
cabin is self-catering, with a well appointed kitchen containing a
microwave, 4 burner gas cooker, refrigerator, freezer, cutlery, cooking
utensils, crockery, glasses and saucepans. Manna Gum and The Lodge also
have a traditional oven.
- Outside each cabin is a private barbecue area equipped with a gas barbecue (BBQ).
- The cabins do not contain telephones but a phone is available for emergency use in the manager's office.
- Laundry facilities are available should you require them.
- A
portable cot can be provided for infants. Either the owner or manager
is constantly on site at King Parrot and only too willing to impart
some local knowledge or to sort out any queries.
