Accommodation King
Parrot offers a wide choice of accommodation. You can choose
from a range of luxurious fully self contained cottages with
spectacular valley or forest views or you can elect to be a
close to nature by camping in our picturesque rainforest valley
beside the Pennyroyal Creek. The
Cottages There are 6 beautiful cottages.
They vary in size and can accommodate 2-14 people.
All of the cottages have been built to perfection using polished
recycled timbers.
They have luxurious king size beds with crisp white sheets and
warm feather doonas.
The kitchens are well equipped with gas cook tops and microwaves.
Mannagum and The Lodge have ovens.
Each cottage has a large living area complete with dining table
and soft furnishings, ideal for lazing around reading or watching
a dvd. To keep you cosy and warm in winter each cottage is heated
with a slow burning wood fire.
All cottages have a TV, dvd and cd player.
There are gas barbecues for each cottage with outdoor tables
in a bush setting.
Windmill and Blackwood Spa Cottages
These two delightful cottages are both on three levels. Windmill
has the living area on the upper level with an inviting deck
area through double doors. The bathroom is on the middle level
and a spacious double bedroom with a luxurious king size bed
on the lower level. Blackwood has the reverse with the bedroom
on the upper level and the living area on the ground floor with
double doors opening onto a lush lawn area bordered by native
bush. They both have outdoor tables with barbecues and an outdoor
two person heated spa. The cottages accommodate 2 people.

Acquilla Cottage
Acquilla cottage is the most private of the cottages. Upstairs
it has 2 spacious bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate area with
a double bunk opening onto a sunny deck.
Downstairs there is the living area with the kitchen, dining
table and 2 comfortable couches.
This cottage suits two small families or two couples. It looks
out over a beautiful grassy area with the forest on one side.
There is an outdoor pavilion with a barbecue area. There are
seats to sit and watch the friendly parrots and soak up the
sunshine.
Acquilla cottage accommodates 6 people.
Bluegum Cottage
Secluded and surrounding by gum trees, Bluegum is ideal for
those who want to feel they are in the middle of the bush. Bluegum
sits on the highest point of the property. It is a split level
cottage with 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms on the upper level
and an open lounge and lounge room with a fully self contained
kitchen on the ground level. The lounge area opens onto the
garden which has a gas barbecue and outdoor table with benches
for seating. This cottage accommodates 8 people.
Mannagum Cottage
Mannagum is a much loved and rambling 4 bedroom residence. Popular
with family groups this cottage can accommodate 10 people in
comfort. The spacious living area is supported by a very large
kitchen. The living area opens onto a big deck facing a beautiful
part of the forest, highlighted by a very large mannagum tree.
There are three double bedrooms with king size beds and another
bedroom with four single beds. There are 2 big bathrooms. This
cottage has wheelchair access.
The Lodge and Hall
The Lodge and Hall are available to cater to large groups of
people if necessary and have two adjoining parts. The main part
is the Lodge which has a large split level open plan living
area which allows groups to interact socially in a spacious
environment. This area has a commercial kitchen with a large
display refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave and a
commercial dishwasher. In the Lodge there are 3 double bedrooms
with king size beds and 3 bathrooms.
The lounge room has a reverse cycle air conditioner, a log fire,
TV, VCR, CD played and pool table.
The Hall is connected to the Lodge and is a versatile space
that can be used for conventions, seminars, weddings or yoga
retreats. It has an area of 12m x 6m , ideal for anything from
a 50 person cocktail party to a 20 person yoga and meditation
retreat.
This area can also be used as a dormitory for 8 single beds,
therefore 3 couples and their children can be accommodated comfortably.
The whole complex has extensive outdoor decks overlooking the
pristine Pennyroyal Valley. There are barbecues and outdoor
seating.

Camping
The camping area is one of the highlights of the King Parrot
property. It is in a natural clearing on the floor of the valley
fringed by rain forest and the Pennyroyal creek. There is abundant
wildlife and walks leaving from the campground through the rainforest
to waterfalls and the national park. It is a very popular camping
spot offering 4 pre erected tents and 3 campsites. There is
a toilet and shower block with gas lighting and hot water. The
pre erected tents have a double bed and two double bunks, table
and deck chairs and a gas stove. There is a permanent camp-fireplace
and barbecue area.
Facilities
- Each cabin is self-catering, with a well appointed kitchen
containing a microwave, 4 burner gas cooker, refrigerator,
freezer, cutlery, cooking utensils, crockery, glasses and
saucepans. Manna Gum and The Lodge also have a traditional
oven.
- Outside each cabin is a private barbecue area equipped with
a gas barbecue (BBQ).
- The cabins do not contain telephones but a phone is available
for emergency use in the manager's office.
- Laundry facilities are available should you require them.
- A portable cot can be provided for infants.
