The two hundred acres embraces both native forest and rolling farm land with alpacas, horses and donkeys and many native birds & animals. The tranquil valley environment is pristine with only the sounds of the local birds or the wind in the forest. The noise of the city becomes a distant memory as you relax in the sunshine with a glass of wine and a good book.

King Parrot’s 6 architect-designed, self-contained cottages are secluded whilst enjoying views of the spectacular and peaceful Pennyroyal Valley or the mountain ash rainforest. One to four bedroom cottages accommodate from one couple to 14 people with a maximum in the cottages of 42 guests. Each offers comfort, character and privacy with stunning valley views. Or you may prefer to get back to nature and camp by the creek in one of our permanent tents situated on the valley floor in the rainforest.

Pennyroyal is only 1 ½ hours from the  Melbourne CBD and just 20 minutes inland from Lorne, The Great Ocean Road and its surrounding beaches. Our location provides the perfect pathway for those wanting to explore the greater Lorne Hinterland, Surf Coast, Apollo Bay, The 12 Apostles and beyond.
